Job Description
Associate / Director - Building Services

Discipline: Mechanical or Electrical
Location: Leeds
Salary: £70,000-£90,000, depending on experience

Zest4Talent is working with an established Building Services consultancy seeking to make two senior appointments as part of its continued growth across the Leeds and York region.

We are looking for experienced Mechanical and Electrical Building Services professionals at Associate, Associate Director or Director level. This opportunity offers considerably more than another senior design role: you will help deliver significant regional projects, strengthen client relationships and build a new team around you.

The opportunity

You will:

  • Lead the mechanical or electrical delivery of major Building Services projects.
  • Work on large-scale BTR, PBSA, industrial and logistics developments.
  • Develop relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Identify new opportunities and contribute to regional business development.
  • Provide technical leadership and project oversight.
  • Mentor and develop engineers as the team expands.
  • Work closely with the wider leadership team to grow the consultancy's presence across Leeds and York.
About you

You will be an established Associate, Associate Director or Director-level professional with:

  • A strong mechanical or electrical Building Services background.
  • A successful track record of delivering significant projects.
  • Experience in BTR, PBSA, industrial or logistics developments.
  • Strong commercial awareness and established client relationships.
  • The confidence and credibility to operate in a highly client-facing position.
  • The ability to combine technical expertise with the interpersonal skills required to build relationships and develop a successful team.

A relevant engineering degree is preferred, while Chartered Engineer status or an equivalent professional qualification would be highly desirable.

Why consider this opportunity?

This position is particularly suited to someone who has reached a senior level within an established consultancy and is ready for greater influence. You will have the opportunity to build something meaningful and play a central role in developing a successful regional team.
