About the Role

Zest4Talent are partnering with a leading sustainability consultancy to recruit a Senior / Principal Energy & Building Physics Consultant.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Energy and Carbon team, working on high-profile sustainable building projects across the UK. You'll play a key role in delivering energy strategies, building performance modelling, and net zero solutions across residential and commercial developments.

If you are an experienced Building Physics Consultant, Energy Modeller, or Sustainability Consultant looking to step into a more senior, impactful role - this position offers genuine progression and leadership opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver energy modelling using IES-VE (including operational energy assessments)
• Lead energy strategy reports for planning and design stages
• Carry out overheating assessments (TM52, TM59, Part O)
• Manage projects from concept through to completion
• Work closely with clients, architects, and MEP engineers
• Mentor and support junior consultants
• Contribute to net zero carbon strategies and sustainable design solutions

Key Requirements

• 4+ years' experience in building physics / sustainability consultancy
• Strong experience using IES-VE energy modelling software
• Knowledge of HVAC / MEP systems (Apache HVAC advantageous but not essential)
• Experience delivering energy strategies and compliance reports
• Confident communicator with project management experience
• Understanding of UK regulations including Part L, Part O, BREEAM, and London Plan
