Job Description

The Mission

We are looking for a seasoned Mainframe Developer / Systems Programmer to play a pivotal role in our infrastructure evolution. You won't just be "keeping the lights on"-you will be at the heart of our Release Management transformation, helping us sunset Dimensions (Serena) and implement our new release system, TEXO.

This is a strategic succession role, taking over the responsibilities of a key expert retiring from the Topdanmark/IF profile.

Key Responsibilities

  • Release Management: Manage and optimize source control systems, ensuring seamless code transitions.
  • System Migration: Actively participate in the decommissioning of Serena Dimensions and the rollout of TEXO.
  • Development & Maintenance: Maintain and enhance ISPF panels and skeletons, JCL, and Rexx scripts.
  • Data Governance: Execute test data masking and manage data archiving/optimization using OPTIM.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the release management team to ensure high availability and system integrity.

Technical Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must be a "Mainframe Native" with a deep understanding of z/OS environments.

Must-have Skills:

  • Languages & Scripts: Advanced Rexx, JCL, and PL/1.
  • Environment: Expert-level knowledge of ISPF Panels and ISPF Skeletons.
  • Database: Solid experience with Db2 and SQL.
  • Unix: Familiarity with z/OS Unix System Services (USS).
  • Release Tools: Proven experience in Release Management and Source Control (Experience with Serena Dimensions or TEXO is a huge plus).

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of OPTIM for data management.
  • Experience in Test Data Masking strategies.
