Zerto Sales Manager

This role has been designed as a 'Hybrid' position, expecting an average of 2 days per week working from an HPE office.

Job Description:

Sales Managers:

Lead the sales team to success by communicating clear direction aligned with company strategy. Inspire the team to exceed goals, manage sales growth and profitability, and build a high-performing team through recruiting, developing, and retaining talent. Organize resources to maximize achievement, market coverage, and financial performance. Coach team members to achieve top sales performance, orchestrate major enterprise customer engagements, manage escalations, and foster a hunting mentality. Develop relationships with customer executives, craft strategies to win deals, and collaborate with stakeholders across HPE.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Set and communicate team direction aligned with HPE's vision and strategy.
  • Inspire the team to meet and surpass goals.
  • Manage sales strategies to drive growth and profitability.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team through effective recruiting and development.
  • Coach team members regularly to ensure top performance.

Customer Intimacy:

  • Lead major enterprise customer engagements to deliver exceptional results and experience.
  • Engage with top customer executives to understand their business needs and build trust.
  • Manage escalations and develop opportunities at the executive level.
  • Guide teams in developing technical, investment, and pricing strategies to win deals.
  • Partner across business units to ensure customer success and team efficiency.

Managing the Business:

  • Establish and manage the end-to-end sales process methodology.
  • Perform sales planning and ensure execution.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and market feedback.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10-12+ years in sales, with success in achieving quotas.
  • 5+ years managing high-performing sales teams preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deploy company vision and strategy effectively.
  • Strategic thinking and change management.
  • Leadership and talent development.
  • Build long-term customer relationships and understand industry trends.

Scope and Impact:

  • Manage multiple countries and business units, with moderate to large quotas.
  • Influence investment, pricing, and resource decisions.
