Youth Worker

Overview

Kirklees Youth Alliance is looking for an experienced, professionally qualified Youth Worker to support with the delivery of the National Lottery funded Next Gen Dewsbury programme.

Salary: £36,364 (based on JNC Pay Point 18). Hours: 37 hours per week. Contract: Initially fixed until 31 March 2029 (continuation of the post is subject to funding). Work location: Various community venues in Dewsbury with opportunities for some home working. Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and 4% employer pension contribution.

Responsibilities

• Delivering a youth voice programme.
• Developing 3 Youth Partnerships across Dewsbury.
• Developing 3 core youth work sessions across the three wards of Dewsbury.
• Delivering an outreach programme for the Next Gen Dewsbury programme.
• Building the capacity of other local youth organisations.

Qualifications

Professionally qualified Youth Worker with relevant experience in youth work.
