About the Youth & Justice ServiceLeicestershire Youth & Justice Service is an ambitious, vibrant and forward-thinking service focused on supporting children towards brighter futures. The Youth & Justice Service supports children aged 11+ with a range of non-statutory and statutory interventions and works in partnership with wider services to deliver the best outcomes.
The post holder will cover the North West Leicestershire and Hinckley and Bosworth districts and will be expected to lead a group in the evening once a week in either North West Leicestershire or Hinckley and Bosworth.
About the RoleWe are looking for people who are passionate and committed to working with children and who can:
- work flexibly to meet the needs of children, families and victims
- undertake complex assessments of the needs of children and families
- be responsible for developing their practice and undertake and implement learning
- listen to and act upon children's voices to strive for the best outcomes
- develop and deliver high quality interventions to support children in achieving positive outcomes
The post holder will lead a group in the evening once a week in one of the districts specified above.

The successful candidate must hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a vehicle. A reasonable adjustment will be considered for an applicant with a disability if the disability precludes them from driving.
The post will require the successful candidate to work outside of normal office hours.

To apply for this post, you must have:
- Qualification level required - NVQ Level 3 or above, AND significant experience working with children (11 years+) and families
- Experience of understanding the issues faced by vulnerable children and families with complex needs - including awareness of adverse childhood experiences and trauma
- Knowledge and experience of case management and group work with children & young people where vulnerabilities exist - including assessment and report writing and use of case management systems
- Knowledge and experience of gathering child's voice to contribute to assessments, formal reports and records within case management systems
- Evidence of developing, planning and implementing creative and innovative interventions tailored to meet individual needs
- Demonstrable experience of forming positive working relationships with professional partners and working collaboratively to meet identified needs
- To contribute to the protection of children from abuse in accordance with safeguarding policies and practice, including comprehensive understanding of safeguarding
