Job Description
About the Role

We Are With You is a commissioned Young Persons Drug and Alcohol Service that supports 11-18 year olds across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We are looking for a Young Person Worker to cover the west part of the county. The role involves screening and assessing referrals, co producing care plans with young people, and supporting them through their treatment journey.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract, working 25 hours per week. The starting salary is £25,000 per annum and increases each year in line with our pay progression, rising to £30,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen and assess young people referred to the service.
  • Co produce a Treatment Care Plan with the young person and review goal setting regularly.
  • Deliver a range of psycho social interventions such as Harm Reduction information, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, CBT based interventions, etc.
  • Complete case management information, data and outcome monitoring.
  • Be part of a multi agency safeguarding team and attend any relevant planning meetings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Experienced youth worker with additional knowledge of substance misuse and mental health issues affecting young people.
  • Highly organised, practical and with proven IT skills.
  • Excellent one to one skills and ability to engage well with young people.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively use time and resources.
  • Experienced in partnership working with other agencies.
  • Good understanding of safeguarding processes, risk assessment and complex case work.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car (business use must be added to insurance policy).
