Aspire People is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and ambitious primary school in the B42 area of Birmingham for an exceptional Year 6 Teacher / Year Group Lead to join their team this September.This is an exciting opportunity for a confident classroom practitioner who can inspire pupils, lead by example, and help guide a successful Year 6 team through an important stage of their primary education. The school is seeking a positive role model who can build strong relationships with pupils, maintain high expectations, and foster a culture of respect, resilience, and achievement. The Role: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum. Lead the Year 6 team, supporting colleagues and contributing to effective year group planning. Prepare pupils for SATs while maintaining a broad, engaging, and enjoyable curriculum. Monitor and assess pupil progress, ensuring every child is supported to reach their full potential. Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment. Work collaboratively with senior leaders, colleagues, and parents to achieve the best outcomes for pupils. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Proven experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6. Previous leadership experience or the ambition to step into a Year Group Lead role. Strong classroom management and high expectations for behaviour and learning. A confident, resilient, and approachable leader who leads by example. Excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
