Year 5 teaching assistant

Seven Education are looking for a long-term Year 5 teaching assistant to work at an Established Primary School in South East London.

The role:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with the Year 5 teacher to support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and well-being of young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Year 5 teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the curriculum objectives.

Work with individual students or small groups to provide targeted support and intervention as needed.

Support students with their learning activities, offering guidance, encouragement, and assistance as appropriate.

Foster positive relationships with students, building rapport and trust to create a supportive learning environment.

Help to maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, promoting positive behavior and addressing any issues promptly.

Assist with the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources.

Collaborate effectively with the Year 5 teacher and other members of the school staff to ensure the overall success of the class.

Qualifications:

Relevant experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well to students, teachers, and parents.

Strong behaviour management and experience

Key information:

Pay is competitive and negotiable - £70 to £85 per day

Hours are full time

Start date ASAP.
