Job Description

Part-Time Year 4 Teacher

Location: North Chesterfield Primary School

Contract Type: Fixed Term (Until Easter 2025, with potential extension to the summer term)

Days of Work: Tuesday to Friday

Hours: Four days a week, 8.30am - 3.30pm

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Start Date: September 2024

Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Year 4 Teacher to join our team. As a Year 4 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, fostering a love for learning within our students. You will work closely with our existing staff to support the academic and personal development of every child in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver creative and stimulating lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students and parents where necessary.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive behaviours and well being.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Attend staff meetings, parent evenings, and other school events as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with lower Key Stage 2 (KS2) classes, preferably Year 4.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • A genuine passion for education and supporting the development of young learners.

Additional Information: This role is part-time, working four days a week (Tuesday to Friday). The initial contract is fixed-term until Easter 2025, with the possibility of extension until the summer term. Applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome.
