Full-Time Year 3 Immediate Start Initially Until October Half Term
Are you an enthusiastic, caring and committed Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in a primary school?
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class at a welcoming primary school in the Rushcliffe Borough of Nottingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant, graduate, or someone with relevant experience working with children to join a supportive school environment and make a real difference to pupils' learning and development.
The role is available to start as soon as possible and will initially run until the October half term, with the potential for the position to continue depending on the needs of the school.
The RoleAs a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils throughout their learning and help create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Year 3 class teacher with teaching and learning activities.
- Working with pupils on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
- Supporting children who may require additional help with their learning.
- Assisting with literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and pupil engagement.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.
- Supporting children with additional needs where required.
- Helping to maintain a safe, welcoming and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assisting with classroom preparation and general day-to-day activities.
We're keen to hear from candidates who have:
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a school or education setting.
- Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2 would be advantageous.
- A positive, patient and nurturing approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children.
- A proactive and adaptable attitude.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential if you have relevant experience working with children.
