Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant

Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in South Liverpool to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a full time, long term role starting immediately. This temporary SEND teaching assistant position involves working in Year 3, supporting two SEND pupils with a variety of additional needs on a one to one basis. You will support one child in the morning and another child in the afternoon.

The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and highly adaptable to the individual learning needs of each child. You will play a key role in supporting the pupil's educational and emotional development within a structured and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one to one support for two Year 3 children with additional needs
• Supporting children with ASD, ADHD and Complex Needs
• Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
• Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
• Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
• Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff

Requirements

• Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and Complex Needs
• Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to supporting the child's academic and emotional development
