Are you an experienced and motivated Key Stage 1 Teacher looking for your next opportunity?

Flourish Education are delighted to be recruiting a full time Year 2 Teacher for a welcoming 3 form entry Primary School in Dudley. This role is to start as soon as possible and will continue for the remainder of the term, with the potential to extend into the next academic year.

This Year 2 Teacher position is ideal for a confident and engaging practitioner who can deliver high quality teaching while also taking full responsibility for planning, preparation, and assessment. Working within a large and supportive year group team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards across the phase. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are also encouraged to apply.

This full time Year 2 Teacher role will be working 5 days per week during term time only. Each class benefits from the support of additional staff to ensure effective teaching and learning.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum, as well as assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners. You will work collaboratively with the wider Key Stage 1 team and school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum
  • Assessing, recording, and tracking pupil progress to ensure positive outcomes
  • Creating a well structured, supportive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs
  • Working closely with teaching assistants to support learning
  • Collaborating with year group colleagues to support planning and consistency
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • Ensuring safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral care for all pupils
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
  • Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and assessment expectations
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive approach to teaching
  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months
  • A minimum of two excellent references
