Are you a passionate and nurturing primary teacher with a flair for early literacy? We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Scunthorpe from September 2026.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a teacher who is confident delivering the Key Stage 1 curriculum and has a strong understanding of Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised.

About the Role

• Full-time Year 1 class teacher position
• Long-term placement beginning September 2026
• Deliver engaging and creative lessons across the KS1 curriculum
• Support pupils as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1
• Deliver high-quality phonics teaching using the Little Wandle programme
• Assess and track pupil progress, identifying interventions where needed
• Create a positive classroom culture where every child can thrive

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, preferably Year 1
• Strong knowledge of Little Wandle phonics
• A good understanding of supporting pupils with SEN
• Effective classroom and behaviour management strategies
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A child-centred approach to teaching and learning
