Year 1 Teacher

GSL Education are delighted to be supporting a warm, welcoming and well regarded primary school in the Maldon area, who are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team from January. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a passionate primary teacher looking to make a real impact in KS1.

• Full responsibility for teaching and leading learning in a Year 1 class
• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging, creative and age-appropriate lessons
• Creating a nurturing, positive and stimulating learning environment
• Supporting pupils' phonics, early literacy and numeracy development
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and working collaboratively with the KS1 team

• A fully qualified teacher (QTS essential)
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum
• A warm, patient and enthusiastic teaching style
• Someone confident planning independently and delivering high-quality lessons
• A commitment to helping pupils thrive and achieve their full potential
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
