Year 1 Primary Teacher - KS1

Aspire People are recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for both ECTs and experienced teachers looking to develop within a strong KS1 setting.

Year 1 is a crucial transition year, and the school is looking for a teacher who can support pupils moving from EYFS into more structured learning while maintaining a nurturing and engaging classroom environment.

The Role

• Full class teaching responsibility within a Year 1 classroom
• Delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Supporting early phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy development
• Creating a smooth transition from EYFS to KS1 learning styles
• Assessing and tracking pupil progress
• Building strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience within EYFS or KS1 (placements accepted for ECTs)
• Strong understanding of early phonics and child development
• Patient, creative, and engaging teaching style
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
