Description

We're looking for a hardworking and customer-focused Yard Team Member to support the day-to-day operations of our yard and store. This is a hands-on role where you'll help maintain a safe, organised, and welcoming environment for our members and customers, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the business.

This role includes external working in all weather conditions and consistent lifting of goods up to 25kgs into Customers cars

About The Role

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Part-time
Hours of Work: 7.5 Hours per week, working every Saturday

As a Yard Team Member, you'll play a key role in stock handling, customer service, and maintaining high standards across external areas. You'll support the Stock Supervisor and wider team to ensure efficient operations and a positive experience for everyone who visits the store. This role includes external working in all weather conditions and consistent lifting of goods up to 25kgs into Customers cars

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering excellent customer service at the counter and across the yard
  • Receiving, checking, and loading stock accurately and efficiently
  • Supporting Point of Sale operations when required
  • Maintaining external areas to a high standard of presentation
  • Investigating stock discrepancies and supporting seasonal stock reviews
  • Participating in stocktaking and maintaining stock file integrity
  • Following health & safety procedures and UFAS regulations
About You
  • Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail environment (preferred)
  • Familiarity with agricultural or countryside settings (beneficial)
  • A forklift truck licence (advantageous)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accurately
  • Good IT skills and confidence using systems
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Awareness of Data Protection / GDPR and Health & Safety standards
  • You'll be friendly, self-motivated, and adaptable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service and working as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to assist customer with product of up to 25kgs in to their vehicles constantly throughout the day
