A leading chemical manufacturing business is looking for a proactive and safety-focused Yard Marshall to join its busy Transport Department at Port Clarence.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of the operation, where you'll help coordinate the safe and efficient movement of tractors and trailers, support drivers and contractors, and keep yard activity running smoothly. As Yard Marshall, you'll play a vital role in maintaining safe, compliant and efficient yard operations.

• Managing and monitoring the parking and positioning of tractors and trailers across the Port Clarence site.
• Supporting the efficient turnaround of company and contract drivers collecting loaded trailers.
• Helping to reduce loading overtime activities at the Seal Sands operation.
• Acting as the first point of contact for drivers starting their shifts.
• Promoting safe, efficient and compliant working practices in line with transport legislation and company procedures.
• Monitoring yard activities and promptly reporting safety concerns, non-conformities or operational issues.
• Ensuring site safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Maintaining accurate records of trailer movements and changes during shunting operations.
• Pre-loading backloads as directed by the Transport Office.
• Supporting continuous improvement across the operation.
• Maintaining clear and effective communication between drivers, the Transport Office and wider site teams.

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• ADR Qualification.
• Strong understanding of ADR regulations and transport compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive working relationships with drivers, contractors, colleagues and site personnel.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• A proactive approach to safety, compliance and operational efficiency.
