XR Technical Specialist - Paris, France - 6 months contract

Global Enterprise Partners is currently looking for a a XR Technical Specialist for an initial 6 months contract with our client in Paris, France

Role Objective

The XR Technical Specialist is responsible for implementing XR (Extended Reality) solutions for our client with a strong focus on hardware. The XR Technical Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and create immersive experiences that meet customer needs. The XR Technical Specialist will also provide technical support for the XR products, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure that the XR solutions are user-friendly and optimized for performance. The XR Technical Specialist is an important point of contact at the VR Lab.

Organizational Context

The XR Center of Excellence is part of Information Services business unit within the IT Development department. From idea to experiment and proof of concept, from development to implementation and from engineering to support.

Main result areas

• Point of Contact at the VR Lab
• Implement XR hardware and software solutions that meet business requirements, including virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality applications
• Producing and maintaining 360-degree photo and video content.
• Provide technical support for the XR products, including troubleshooting issues, maintaining hardware and software, and ensuring that the products are up to date.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in XR and suggest new approaches and solutions to improve the XR products.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure that the XR products meet customer expectations.
• Develop and maintain documentation and training materials to support the use of XR solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
• Assist with the creation of marketing and sales materials and demos for XR products.

Job Requirements: knowledge, training, experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ years of experience in creating XR solutions, including virtual reality, augmented reality, mixed reality applications and 360° photo/video (strong focus on hardware)
• Knowledge of XR hardware, including VR and AR headsets, controllers, and tracking systems.
• Familiarity with Unity and/or Unreal Engine.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling, animation, and game development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written, is required. Additionally, proficiency in Dutch is strongly preferred.
• Regular travelling between Paris and Amsterdam should not be a problem.
