Type: Full Time, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 (dependent on experience)

Role Purpose
The Workplaces and Data Assistant will play a key supporting role in delivering LGBT Great's content, training and research initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for inclusion and belonging, strong analytical and content writing skills, and a desire to grow within a dynamic and mission-led organisation and delivery into member firms.
The Workplaces, Research and Data Centre of Excellence serves as LGBT Great's innovation hub, driving forward best practices, data-led insights, and inclusive workplace strategies to support our mission of authentic inclusion.
The Workplaces, Research and Data Assistant will play a key supporting role in the delivery of LGBT Great's workplace inclusion programmes, research projects, and data-driven initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who is passionate about inclusion and belonging, and eager to develop skills in research, data analysis, project coordination, and client engagement.

Roles And Responsibilities
Research and Data Support
- Assist in the design, distribution, and analysis of surveys and research tools.
- Support qualitative and quantitative data analysis, including transcription, coding, and reporting.
- Help prepare research summaries, presentations, and visual content.
- Maintain research documentation and databases.
- Support the administration of the iiBT benchmarking programme.
- Track submission progress and maintain Excel-based score trackers.
- Assist in reviewing and scoring submissions under guidance.
- Help develop and update best practice toolkits and member resources.
- Liaise with platform providers to support survey and dashboard updates.
- Test and report issues related to survey tools and dashboards.
- Help manage change requests and documentation.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for client and internal projects.
- Schedule meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items.
- Assist in preparing materials for client training sessions and events.
- Responsible for end-to-end writing and delivery of the fortnightly News Digest.
- Draft and edit content for newsletters, blogs, and internal reports as needed.
- Support the creation of slide decks, one-pagers, and other client-facing materials.
- Assist in updating and maintaining training materials and brochures.
- Assist with social media and marketing content as needed.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organisational skills and accuracy in handling data and documentation.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
- Team Collaboration: A proactive team player who is comfortable working across functions and with external partners.
- Analytical Thinking: Basic understanding of data analysis and a willingness to learn more.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-Savvy: An interest and AI and comfortable using Excel, PowerPoint, and digital platforms; experience with survey tools or dashboards is a plus.
- Commitment to Inclusion: Passion and a desire to contribute to meaningful change.
Experience and Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
- Strong content creation abilities, with adaptability for different audiences and formats.
- Foundational experience in data analysis and research methodologies.
- Experience using AI tools or technologies, either through formal education or practical application.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing tasks.
- Genuine interest in inclusion and belonging, and social impact.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Co-Pilot or ChatGPT.
- Experience using survey platforms like SurveyMonkey or Typeform.
- Exposure to qualitative research methods, including interviews and open-text analysis.
- Previous experience in project coordination or administrative support roles.
