Job Description
Job summary
We are looking for a Workplace Strategy Implementation Lead to join HM Land Registry's property function within the Workplace & Business Services Group, part of the Finance & Business Services Directorate.
You'll play a vital role in developing, implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of the Workplace Strategy for HM Land Registry. This brings together new ways of working, workspace requirements and property solutions to maximise the performance and optimisation of the portfolio aligned to strategic objectives.
Job description
Your main duties will include using customer insight, scenario planning and options analysis to develop workplace solutions that optimise the portfolio, provide value for money and support stakeholder needs.
You will lead on the development of strategic asset management plans and further integration of government's property functional standards, and produce options appraisals and business cases to support workplace solutions and secure investment.
You will develop long term strategic space needs to proactively address demand and ensure the best use of portfolio space, monitor financial budgets and maintain strong and constructive relationships with the Government Property Agency.

To be successful in this role you will have or be working towards membership of any of the core Government Property Profession accredited professional bodies (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM), Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Chartered Engineer (CEng), Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv), Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), or Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA .
You will possess the following Government Property Profession Technical Skills to Practitioner level - Analytical Decision Making, Stakeholder Engagement, Customer & Client Service, Strategy & Business Planning, Property Professional Expertise.
You will have experience within a real estate and property profession discipline, property finance, appraisal and budgeting, as well as landlord and tenant matters and property law.
You will be able to verbally and in writing effectively translate complex property issues to non-expert audiences at a range of levels.
You will have experience in data analysis, evaluation and interpretation of evidence to inform strategic decision-making, and experience of government workplace strategies and working knowledge of government occupancy agreements (such as Memorandum of Terms of Occupation (MOTOs); Freehold Occupancy Agreements (FOAs); and Term Occupancy Agreements (TOAs .
Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in our Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
