What do you do as Workforce Manager?
As Workforce Manager, you are responsible for building the right workforce/ labour pool for the Lelystad Site. On the one hand, this means ensuring that the right trained (flex) employee is available at the right time. Furthermore, you manage the agency contracts, ensuring that the cooperation with the temporary employment partners runs optimally, you audit the temp partners, and ensure that living and working conditions comply with the contract agreements. You do this, amongst others, by managing the Workforce Coordinators in Lelystad. You are also responsible to provide high quality management reports concerning the labour pool.
You will be based at our site in Lelystad and you will report directly to the HR Manager.
What does your day look like as Manager Workforce:
- Ensure GXO and temp agencies conform to requirements set out in SLA. Advise site management of non-conformities and help develop corrective measures
- Ensure timely KPI reporting by temp agencies and GXO on all reports concerning temp labour Lead campus "plan community" and ensure long term temp planning is sufficient to supply demand for the site
- Facilitate and promote cross-training of temp labour for the Lelystad Site
- Facilitate and promote exchange of temp labour to ensure availability at peak times
- Advise Senior Management, Site Management, and temp agencies on opportunities to increase duration of temp labour at GXO and reduce training costs
- Ensure training and onboarding is uniform for all temp agencies supplying a site with temp labour
- Work with HR and site management to ensure all temp labour is equally paid for the same labour
- Organize and support operational meetings between site management and temp agencies Identify and distribute best practices regarding temp labour for the Site
- Ensure training documentation and working instructions available for temp labour is uniform and up to date, advise site management on required changes
- Ensure good relationship is maintained with temp agency management, site management and HR
- Contribution to structural reduction of negative environmental impact from usage of natural resources (a/o energy, water, fuel) and from emissions (waste, carbon) and to contribute to environmental performance initiatives
- Adhere to applicable legal requirements, GXO and industry standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure all Agency invoices are accurate and sent on time to ensure and maintain 100% compliance
- Manage and lead a team, developing their competencies to ensure a structured approach within the organisation

What do you need to be successful:
- Extensive experience in a similar type of role, either within a temp employment agency or within Logistics
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Networking, decisive and relationship skills
- You are a confident, natural leader and problem solver with demonstrated critical thinking and collaboration skills
- You have advanced understanding of business process analysis
- You are a go-getter, can make decisions and are able to take on projects strategically
- Good oral and written skills in English is essential, with Dutch, Polish or Spanish an added plus
- Experience with the following topics is a plus: social responsibility, CSR initiatives, migrant workers in a Blue-Collar environment and/or policy experience, process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, planning of multiple strategic projects, provide best in class project management to be able to meet project timelines
- Excel skills at an intermediate level
