Wiring Technician

Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Wiring Technician for a 3-month contract to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day to day electro mechanical assembly, building sub assemblies and complete systems as per the drawings and build procedures.

• Fully onsite in Tring, Hertfordshire.
• 3 month initial contract.
• £25-£28.57 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35
• Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be willing to undergo basis security checks ahead of starting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Panel wiring
• Cabling assembly and crimping
• Rack wiring
• PCB assembly
• Assembly and re work of components
• Wiring test boxes
• Soldering, including through hole and surface mount components
• Managing the security of information in accordance with the Information Security Policy

The role involves working within a small team to produce high quality satellite communications equipment to the required standards and timescales. You will continuously monitor product quality during the build process to improve upon production performance targets.

Job Requirements:

• Experience in electrical/mechanical assembly and wiring, including prototype wiring
• Attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards with minimal supervision
• Ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and work accurately to procedures
• Creative thinker and eager learner
