Eventus Recruitment Group are seeking a Wills & Probate Fee Earner (Solicitor or Experienced Paralegal) for a highly regarded law firm based in Birkenhead, Wirral. Job Responsibilities

The incoming Wills & Probate Fee Earner will manage their own caseload of Probate, Estate Administration and Trust matters, delivering high-quality legal advice and maintaining exceptional standards of client care. This job is suited to a Solicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal with strong knowledge of Private Client work.

• Managing a varied caseload of Probate, Estate Administration and Trust matters from file opening to conclusion
• Completing occasional complex Will drafting and trust documentation
• Communicating with clients, beneficiaries and third parties via telephone, email, video call and post
• Identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities
• Drafting legal documents including deeds of variation, affidavits, estate accounts and legal statements
• Advising clients on tax matters including Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Income Tax liabilities

This job requires strong theoretical knowledge of probate processes, the confidence to make decisions, and the ability to progress files with limited administrative support.

Person Specification

The successful Wills & Probate Fee Earner will be a confident and proactive legal professional with experience managing end-to-end probate transactions. You will have a strong client focus, excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.

• Ability to manage a caseload independently and make sound decisions
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Ability to work proactively and perform effectively under pressure
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
• Excellent organisational and file management skills
• Reliability, adaptability and a positive, enthusiastic approach to work
• Strong teamwork ethos

Desirable

• Experience using Proclaim or similar case management systems

Essential

• Qualified Solicitor or experienced Paralegal with strong probate knowledge
