Job Description

We are seeking a driven, organized, and detail-oriented Wholesale Broker to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and expanding our portfolio of clients, while collaborating within a dynamic environment. As a Wholesale Broker, you will leverage your knowledge in insurance and your experience as a Wholesale Account Executive to deliver exceptional service, build strong relationships, and drive success.

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail insurance agents, carriers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop customized insurance solutions and offer expert guidance to meet the specific needs of your clients.
  • Secure new business opportunities and maintain a robust pipeline of leads to achieve revenue goals.
  • Act as a consultant to retail agents, providing them with expert insurance advice and insights regarding market conditions.
  • Negotiate terms and pricing with insurance carriers on behalf of clients to secure the most competitive packages.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of all insurance quotes, renewals, and endorsements.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks to better serve your clients and the organization.
  • Monitor and address any service issues to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in wholesale insurance or as a Wholesale Account Executive, or a related role.
  • In-depth knowledge of insurance markets, products, and coverage options.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build trust and credibility with clients and carriers.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple clients, tasks, and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficient in using industry-standard relationship management tools and software.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • A state broker/producer license or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire may be required, depending on the territory of operation.
  • A commitment to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and equity during all interactions, both internally and externally.
Day-to-Day
  • Collaborate with retail agents, underwriters, and team members to find and deliver tailored insurance solutions.
  • Conduct daily market analysis to explore competitive insurance options for prospective and existing accounts.
  • Engage in phone calls, emails, and meetings to address inquiries and provide updates to clients and carriers.
  • Prepare, review, and present quotes and proposals to retail agents in a clear and professional manner.
  • Track and report your progress against sales targets and identify opportunities for growth or improvement.
  • Provide support to retail agents in resolving claims, billing, or coverage concerns.
  • Contribute to team meetings by sharing insights, strategies, and market updates.
  • Participate in professional development and industry networking opportunities to stay informed and enhance your skills.
