Job Description

Crawley Wellbeing is seeking a highly motivated Wellbeing Advisor (Workplace Lead) to join our friendly and dynamic team. This is an exciting and varied opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Crawley Wellbeing Service, part of the wider West Sussex Wellbeing Programme, with a particular focus on workplace health and wellbeing.

In this role, you will support people who live and work in Crawley to improve their health and wellbeing, acting as a first point of contact for clients across multiple channels, including face to face, telephone, email, and virtual appointments. You will coordinate referrals, provide advice and signposting, and assist with central monitoring and data recording.

In addition, you will lead on workplace wellbeing by developing and coordinating engagement with local employers to deliver targeted health improvement initiatives. Working with the support of the Senior Wellbeing Advisor, you will help design and deliver workplace programmes and expand access to wellbeing support across Crawley's workforce. A key aspect of the role will be motivating and advising clients on a range of health and wellbeing topics, alongside delivering NHS Health Checks and supporting smoking cessation. Promoting the service through talks, presentations, and partnership working will also form a significant part of the role, particularly through engagement with local businesses and organisations.

We are looking for a highly motivated, well organised individual with a strong degree of empathy and diplomacy, and the ability to remain positive and calm under pressure. Significant knowledge of good nutrition is essential, along with previous experience in customer service and the use of IT systems in a professional environment. Experience or an interest in workplace health and engagement would be advantageous.

Working hours: 37 hours per week working Monday to Friday (Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu can be claimed).

The post is for a fixed term contract initially up to 31 March 2028 with potential to extend, subject to external funding.

This role requires the delivery of the NHS Health Check where blood is taken via a finger prick blood test. Hepatitis B Vaccination may be required to allow you to carry this out.

Work location may vary due to the requirements of the role.

A full current UK driving licence will be a requirement of the role.

Appropriate training will be given.

A uniform is to be worn.

Satisfactory clearance of an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring (DBS) checks will be a condition of employment.
