We're looking for Welcome and Service Team Members to join us at Nostell Priory! As the public face of our properties, you'll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Contract Duration: Fixed term until 3rd January 2027
Contract Type: The hours advertised for this role is reflective of 12 months, however the actual hoursyou'llbe required to work for this role are 80 hours across the term of the contract. Theamountof hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments.
Working Pattern: This role involves working weekends, school holidays and bank holidays.Shifts range from 4 to 6.5 hours, with start and finish times varying depending on where you'll be working on the day.At the National Trust, we recognise the importance of a healthy work-life balance and aim to support this wherever possible.
Interviews: Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th September

What it's like to work hereReporting to the Welcome Managers, you'll be part of the Welcome Team at Nostell, near Wakefield.

What you'll be doingThe main focus of this role is to provide every visitor with a warm welcome, excellent customer service and a friendly farewell, while resolving any queries or issues along the way.
This will include:
- Learning about the many different areas of the site so you can confidently share information and enhance visitors' experiences.
- Supporting the smooth operation of the car park, including welcoming visitors, assisting with parking, processing payments and providing directions.
- Using a range of equipment and systems, including tills, handheld card scanners, car park payment machines, payment consoles and National Trust IT systems.
- Supporting the team in achieving membership and fundraising targets by promoting the National Trust, assisting with membership queries, and encouraging visitors to join by explaining the benefits and value of membership.
- Working across a variety of visitor-facing locations, including the car park, ticket office, house and garden entry points.
Much of this role is based outdoors, year-round, so you'll enjoy working in all weathers as part of a friendly and supportive team.
