Welcome & Service Team Member

We're looking for a Welcome and Service Team Member to join us at Brimham Rocks! As the public face of our properties, you'll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Salary: £13.25 per hour

Contract Duration: Permanent

Working Hours: You will work 400 hours per year, including one weekend day each week.This role is based on annualised hours, where theamountof hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.

Provisional Interview Date: Wednesday 2nd September

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you'll be part of a friendly team working from the visitor welcome building in the car park at Brimham Rocks. Your role will be to give a great National Trust welcome to all of our visitors.

Brimham Rocks is a stunning countryside site based on the hills above Nidderdale. The site is truly impressive, with a mixture of ancient rock formations, woodland and rare heather moorland. The site appeals to visitors from all walks of life, including families, geologists, walkers, climbers, orienteers and geocachers to name a few!

What you'll be doing

Your role is to help create a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone who visits Brimham Rocks. You'll deliver excellent customer service on arrival and departure by talking confidently with visitors, listening to their needs, answering queries, giving directions, and sharing information to help them make the most of their visit.

Day to day, you'll work as part of a team to deliver a consistently high standard of service, but also be comfortable working independently and using your own initiative when required.

You'll also play a key role in promoting the benefits of National Trust membership, encouraging visitors to support our work by becoming members.

Alongside your visitor welcome responsibilities, you'll have opportunities to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from supporting key property events to helping promote the site through social media. No two days are the same, so you'll need to adapt to changing priorities to ensure visitors always feel welcomed, valued and engaged throughout their time with us.
