Welcome & Service Team Member

As the public face of our properties, you'll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.

Contract/duration: Fixed term, ends 31st January 2027

Salary: £13.25/hr

Hours/working pattern:This is a zero-hour contract, meaning we can't guarantee a set number of hours each week. While we aim to provide a consistent work pattern, flexibility is needed as schedules may change based on business needs. We'll try to give as much notice as possible. The role includes weekends and Bank Holidays but does not require evening or split shifts.

For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

What it's like to work here

Reporting to the Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you'll be part of a team of Staff and Volunteers working at Box Hill.

What you'll be doing

Every day, you'll help create warm and memorable experiences for everyone who visits. You'll take time to listen, understand what people need, and share information that helps them make the most of their visit. As part of our team, you'll play an important role in helping visitors feel welcome, valued and inspired. You'll have opportunities to get involved in a wide range of activities, from supporting events and engaging with visitors to helping share stories through digital and social media channels. With so much variety, no two days are ever quite the same. We're passionate about creating places where everyone feels they belong. Through your friendly, thoughtful and inclusive approach, you'll help people connect with the places in our care and enjoy meaningful experiences. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is enthusiastic about delivering excellent customer service, and wants to make a positive difference to every visitor's day.
