Weekend Housekeeper (Self-Employed) UHNW Private Residence Central London
£28.00 per hour DOE Paid Overtime

Leaman Consulting is delighted to be working with one of our long-standing UHNW clients, who are seeking an experienced Weekend Housekeeper to join their friendly and fully staffed private household in Central London.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced private household Housekeeper who takes immense pride in their work and enjoys maintaining a beautifully presented home to exceptional standards.
The residence is a recently renovated, four-bedroom, three-storey penthouse with a stunning contemporary Japandi aesthetic, featuring extensive glass and bespoke stone finishes. The home requires an exceptional eye for detail, meticulous organisation and a proactive approach to ensure it is maintained to the highest standard at all times.
The household consists of 2 principals, their two young children and the family's grandmother. The family also employ a weekend Nanny and a full-time weekday household team, a part time chef and a PA, meaning this role is very much part of a collaborative, fully staffed environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining all areas of the residence to immaculate standards
  • Daily housekeeping including dusting, vacuuming, polishing, tidying and general presentation
  • Caring for specialist surfaces including glass, stone, wood and microcement finishes using the correct products and techniques
  • Managing all weekend household laundry
  • Washing, ironing, steaming and pressing clothing and household linens
  • Hand washing delicate garments including silk, cashmere and couture pieces
  • Preparing items for specialist dry cleaning where appropriate
  • Ensuring wardrobes and laundry areas remain impeccably organised
  • Answering the door and greeting visitors in a warm and professional manner
  • Accepting and organising deliveries
  • Assisting with refreshments and simple food preparation for informal family occasions or small gatherings
  • Reporting any maintenance issues or household observations within detailed handover notes for the weekday team
  • Working closely with the wider household staff to ensure seamless continuity of service


Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will:

  • Have solid experience working within UHNW or high-end private households
  • Possess exceptional housekeeping and laundry skills with confidence caring for luxury garments and delicate fabrics
  • Have an excellent eye for detail and take genuine pride in maintaining immaculate standards
  • Be organised, discreet, trustworthy and highly proactive
  • Be confident working independently whilst also integrating into a fully staffed household
  • Have a good command of spoken and written English
  • Hold a current DBS certificate (Enhanced DBS preferred)
  • Be professional, personable and naturally service-focused


Working Schedule: Weekend position Saturday & Sunday 8am/9am to 6pm/7pm
Salary & Benefits: £28.00 gross per hour (Self Employed) The family will continue to pay for your usual working days when they are away
As this is a self-employed position, the successful candidate will be responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, pension and holiday arrangements.
