Sheffield - Weekend & Twilight Veterinary Surgeon (Fixed Term - 12 Months)
Up to £45 per hour DOE plus benefits
Vets Now for Work-Life BalanceWe're seeking a Weekend & Twilight Veterinary Surgeon to join our Sheffield clinic on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role is ideal for a vet looking for a structured ECC rota that offers consistency, flexibility, and a strong work-life balance.
The rota is based on:- One weekend in two
- A mixture of day and night weekend shifts
- Twilight/back shifts: 18:00-00:00
- Saturday day shifts: 12:00-18:30
- Sunday day shifts: 08:30-18:30 or 10:00-20:00
- A share of bank holidays
This structure provides a predictable schedule while still offering exposure to a varied and rewarding emergency caseload.
Vets Now for Team SupportBased within our Sheffield clinic, you'll work within a close-knit and highly supportive team where collaboration and communication are genuinely valued. The clinic has a strong team culture, with around 10 vets and 10 nurses, and excellent long term retention, many vets have been in post for 7 - 9 years and some nurses for over 18 years.
You'll be supported by fantastic nurses, ACAs and receptionists, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent clinical care across both PDSA and private caseloads. While the clinic can be busy, particularly during peak periods, the team consistently pulls together, creating a positive and supportive working environment that people genuinely enjoy being part of.
You will also develop your skills under the guidance of an experienced Principal Vet with many years of ECC experience and Advanced Practitioner status in ECC, offering strong mentorship and genuine opportunities for clinical progression.
