Company Overview

Our client is a longstanding and well-established multidisciplined environmental consultancy. They are now seeking a diligent Water Treatment Manager to oversee their longstanding team of engineers, ensuring work is conducted within agreed timeframes and client requirements.

Experience working hands on, carrying out various Water Treatment / Pre commissioning services across Healthcare, Educational, commercial, Retail, Residential, and Manufacturing sites is required.

Suitable candidates may be working as a supervisor looking to step into a management position. Consideration will be given to candidates from Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Bury, Bolton, St Helens, Liverpool, Macclesfield, Crew, Chester, Blackburn, Burnley, Preston, Blackpool, Birkenhead, Huddersfield, Keighley, Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield.

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience working in a manager/supervisor role within the Water Treatment / Water Hygiene industry.
• Fully versed in HSG 274 / ACoP L8 / BSRIA guidelines.
• Able to oversee, train, and manage a team of engineers.
• Has experience working hands on as an engineer.
• Experience working on a mixed portfolio of sites.
• Able to communicate with colleagues and clients.
• Excellent time management skills.

The Role

• Efficiently oversee and manage a team of engineers, highlighting areas for improvement and training.
• Conduct training with new and existing employees.
• Carry out site visits, ensuring work is carried out in line with relevant HSG 274 / ACoP L8 / BSRIA guidelines.
• Ensure work is being carried out and completed in line with agreed timeframes.
• Use information from site to produce detailed technical reports for clients.
• Act as first point of contact to clients, providing support and advice when required.

Key Technical Duties

• Flushing primary / secondary systems.
• Backflushing and power flushing of systems.
• Chemical dosing of systems using biocides and inhibitors.
• Carrying out pre commissioning cleans on LTHW and CHW systems.
• Sampling and analysis of LTHW and CHW systems.
• Dosing systems with correct chemicals.
• Water sampling.
• Temperature monitoring.
• Cooling tower cleans and disinfections.
• Installing, servicing, and replacing of TMVs.
