Job Title: Waste Operative With FLT
Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour
Contract Type: Full Time
Type of Employment: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday (2pm - 10pm)
Location: McCormick (UK), 5 Forli Strada, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, PE7 3HH

Qualifications

Valid forklift operator license/certification.
Previous experience in waste management or related field preferred.
Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Experience in Health & Safety training.
Understanding of waste management and environmental legislation.
Previous experience in the use of static balers and compactors.
Capability to carry out strenuous tasks.

Responsibilities

Join the Waste and Cleaning team to undertake the collection, movement, sorting, processing and dispatch of waste and other materials including the compaction of waste and cardboard.
Be capable of working and staying compliant with Health and Safety regulations, monitor the performance of equipment, provide support to the On Site Waste Coordinator to complete site objectives and make sure to follow PPE guidance.
Hold a current Counterbalance FLT licence, be prepared to work outside including in extreme weather conditions, have a good level of communicative English, be detail conscious and have excellent time management skills to follow tight deadlines. Pass a DBS Check and undertake a drugs/alcohol screening test prior to starting.
