Pay Rate: £35,898.90 + 10% shift premium on top

Grade: O

Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Any 5 out of 7 days, including weekends; 40 hours per week; 14:00 to 22:00

Location: Allington - ME16 0LE

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Warehouse FLM to play a vital role in coordinating our daily logistics requirements. To succeed in this role, you should have comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a demonstrative understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods and dispatching orders.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Assist management by monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and performance in your designated area
  • Supervise, implement, and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct reports, ensuring all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames while maintaining standards of excellence
  • Track and trace orders using digital in-house tracking software, maintaining accurate records
  • Lead a team and optimize daily performance, including shift sections and briefings to meet or exceed business targets
  • Manage KPIs effectively
  • Build and motivate the team, including recruitment, performance management, and ongoing development
  • Proactively suggest and implement solutions and improvements for team and organizational benefit

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Previous experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in a logistics environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices
  • Experience in administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
  • Experience in preparing and distributing volume orders
  • Computer literacy with practical knowledge of logistics software, WMS systems, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organize, and train team members
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to demonstrate employee engagement
