What you will be doing:
With experience from the NHS or private care, you will lead the nursing team to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health conditions, while also supporting colleagues and promoting teamwork.
As a Ward Manager, you will empower recovery, deliver supervision to staff, work alongside the senior nurse to manage the on-call service, and oversee ward budgets. You will lead by example, acting as a role model, leading care teams, and creating a positive learning environment that makes a difference.
Other duties include:
- Providing clinical leadership and expertise
- Providing guidance to support a unified service and an engaged workforce
- Ensuring high standards are followed and continuously improved within the clinical governance framework
- Utilising and supervising all nursing staff effectively
- Being an expert resource on nursing care within the specialty and playing a key role in the multidisciplinary team
- Maintaining a positive, collaborative environment to enable staff to reach their potential, ensuring high-quality care, staff welfare, and training
- Taking charge of the ward as designated
- A relevant nursing qualification
- NMC registration
- A positive attitude, caring, and compassionate nature
- A commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care and values
- Experience in a similar environment
- Proven leadership skills

Location: New Church Road, Hove BN3 4FH
Brighton & Hove Clinic provides a CAMHS Tier 4 Eating Disorder service for young people aged 12 to 18 years, with primary or co-morbid diagnoses such as mental health issues, depression, OCD, anxiety, or self-harm.
