Job Type: Permanent

Portfolio Execution & Solutions Group (PESG) oversees the end to end completion and implementation of GIC's Total Portfolio, providing services such as trading, funding, liquidity management, securities lending, portfolio rebalancing, applied quantitative research, and counterparty relationship management. Global Trading Unit (GTU) is GIC's execution and trading solutions team, delivering best execution across global markets.

What impact can you make in this role?

You will be part of a London team focused on equities trading, aiming to deliver top tier trade execution, efficiently manage total portfolio liquidity, and improve asset utilisation for GIC.

What will you do as an AVP/VP?
  • Partner closely with portfolio management teams to manage execution risks and provide solutions to implement investment views across EMEA Equities markets, including cash instruments and derivatives, using voice and electronic execution methods.
  • Synthesize market themes and insights, producing timely and differentiated intelligence for GIC stakeholders.
  • Work with the Applied Research Unit and Technology Group to use trading data insights to sharpen execution and enhance GTU's trading technology suite, including automated trading, pre and post trade checks, and market surveillance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with GIC's counterparties and liquidity providers.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
  • Relevant trading experience in EMEA equity markets (cash equities and derivatives).
  • Ability to program in Python, with a passion for gaining insights from data.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and strong negotiation skills.
  • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Pleasant, dynamic, resilient, self motivated, and team oriented.
