Contract - Voluntary covering all home fixtures at the Weston Homes Stadium.
Location - Weston Homes Stadium
Volunteering days and hours - Approx. 4-5 hours per matchday, including pre match briefing and post match reporting.

A Volunteer opportunity has arisen within our safeguarding team to strengthen our safeguarding provision across all home fixtures. This role supports the club to meet EFL safeguarding requirements, maintain a safe matchday environment.
You'll be part of a wider team who act as a visible, approachable point of contact on matchdays, supporting staff, stewards, and visitors while helping the club deliver best practice safeguarding standards.
The Role - duties- Matchday safeguarding oversight - Provide a proactive safeguarding presence across the stadium, fan zones, hospitality areas, and concourses.
- EFL compliance support - Ensure matchday operations align with EFL safeguarding rulings, reporting concerns promptly.
- Incident response - Act as an initial point of contact for safeguarding concerns raised by staff, stewards, or spectators.
- Liaison duties - Work closely with the club's Head of Club Safeguarding, Designated Safeguarding Officers (DSO), stewards, and matchday management.
- Documentation and reporting - Complete safeguarding logs and elevate issues in line with club policy.
- Awareness and visibility - Promote safeguarding awareness and help maintain a welcoming, safe environment for all attendees.
- Experience of working in a safeguarding environment (desirable)
- Safeguarding knowledge - Understanding of safeguarding principles (training provided if needed).
- Communication skills - Confident engaging with staff, supporters, and young people.
- Calm decision making - Ability to remain composed and act appropriately under pressure.
- Team collaboration - Comfortable working alongside stewards, security, and club officials.
- Commitment to welfare - Passion for creating a safe, inclusive matchday experience.
