At The Kingswood Trust, we are seeking a self-motivated, practical Volunteer Coordinator to join and support our exciting "Nature Matters" project.

  • Part time (24 hours per week, 52 weeks per year)
  • Fixed term contract of 3 years
  • £12.40 per hour

Kingswood Trust, nestled in 9 acres of picturesque countryside near Wolverhampton, is dedicated to fostering connections with nature. Thanks to funding from the National Lottery's Reaching Communities Fund, we're launching our exciting "Nature Matters" Project.

This role is essential in promoting our values of participation and inclusion as well as supporting our overall mission of empowering individuals of all backgrounds and ages to connect with nature.

About the role:

As our Volunteer Coordinator, you'll spearhead engagement initiatives, connecting diverse groups with nature through outdoor activities. You'll develop and implement strategies to enhance participation, ensuring inclusivity and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and enhance existing volunteer operations
  • Forge partnerships and explore new opportunities
  • Coordinate with environmental partners for impactful collaborations
  • Plan and deliver Nature Matters outcomes, fostering inclusion
  • Collaborate with fundraising personnel to secure future funding
  • Collect and disseminate feedback to measure program impact

The ideal candidate

We are seeking an individual with:

  • Experience in volunteer coordination or similar roles
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Enthusiasm for the outdoors and nature conservation
  • Ability to manage resources and support volunteer development
