Tasks & Responsibilities:

Virtualization Platform: Managing virtualization platforms (eg, VMware or similar) including troubleshooting, monitoring performance, and ensuring capacity and availability.

Automation: Drive the implementation of automation to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation processes and participate in proofs of concept to evaluate and integrate new technologies.

Operational stability: Monitor system performance and environmental conditions. Identify and escalate potential issues, follow standard operating procedures and after some time if possible to participate in on call rotations

Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with senior engineers and other team members, provide support to other departments, contribute in team meetings, brainstorming sessions and knowledge sharing.

Data Center Operations: assist with racking, stacking and connecting devices (Servers, network, storage), work with partners for cabling and hardware installations

Storage & Backup Management: Support the deployment, configuration and maintenance of storage solutions.

Must haves:

Minimum around 7 years of experience as a Virtualization System Engineer

experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or similar technologies

Good knowledge of Scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash for implementing automation tasks. experience implementing automation initiaves to improve operational efficiency.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues

Solid understanding and experience with data center operations including cabling, hardware installation and equipment maintenance in collaboration with vendors
