Contract: 6 months initially

Rate: £500 per day (inside IR35 / umbrella)

Hybrid / Remote: Remote with occasional to London office

My client is currently seeking a skilled Virtual Engineering Ops professional for a contract role. This opportunity involves working on a range of exciting projects, leveraging cutting edge technology to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation strategies to streamline operations
• Managing enterprise desktop and server environments to ensure optimal performance
• Developing and maintaining automation scripts for various processes
• Ensuring the security and compliance of systems and data
• Collaborating with cross functional teams to design and engineer scalable platforms
• Optimising system performance and monitoring infrastructure health
• Performing virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) deployments
• Managing and executing project deliverables efficiently

Job Requirements:

• Core technical expertise in engineering within the technology sector
• Experience with Citrix, VMware (vSphere, ESXi), and Terraform
• Proficiency in Azure/AWS cloud platforms
• Familiarity with automation tools such as Packer and Jenkins
• Knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop Management, along with Group Policy Management
• Exposure to DevOps & CI/CD practices
• Understanding of security and compliance standards
• Skills in scripting and automation, including the use of Gitlab/Github

Additional Skills:

• Platform design and engineering competencies
• Experience in monitoring and performance optimisation
• Project management capabilities
