Overview

Global Veterinary Careers are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established 24 hour veterinary hospital in the Northwest, supporting their search for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon with a strong interest in Emergency and Critical Care. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a highly skilled, supportive team, handling an interesting and varied caseload within a modern, well equipped hospital setting.

About the Location and Practice

Located in the Northwest of England, this busy 24 hour hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care to its surrounding communities. The site boasts multiple consulting rooms, several surgical theatres, a dental suite, digital imaging facilities, and advanced diagnostic technology including a CT scanner. With separate dog and cat wards, as well as an intensive care unit, the hospital is designed to deliver exceptional standards of care and patient comfort.

About the Role and Team

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will join a close knit and supportive team of clinicians and nurses, committed to providing excellent emergency and critical care services. The varied caseload includes both medical and surgical work, with regular orthopaedic procedures and opportunities to further develop skills in all areas of small animal practice.

Rota

7 on / 14 off, averaging approximately 31 hours per week.

About You
  • MRCVS qualified (or eligible for registration)
  • Confident in managing emergency cases and inpatient care
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive approach
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A genuine passion for providing the highest level of patient care
