About the Practice:
Founded in 1874, this respected practice has been delivering expert animal care for over 148 years. Set amidst beautiful countryside and just a 50-minute train ride to London or Birmingham, it's ideally located for those seeking a mix of rural charm and city accessibility. Their commitment to excellence was recognised with the prestigious 'Best UK Vet' Award in 2019.
As a first opinion small animal practice, the team is proud to offer a wide range of services including:
- Radiography
- Ultrasonography
- In-house laboratory
- Endoscopy
- Soft Tissue & Orthopaedic Surgery
The Role:
You'll join a friendly and collaborative team of 9 vets within the small animal department. While the wider practice also cares for equine and farm animals, this role is small animal only. Clinical freedom is fully supported, and you'll be encouraged to work up your cases to a high standard, with experienced colleagues always on hand to share knowledge.
There is no OOH work - patients requiring overnight care are looked after by a dedicated night nurse, ensuring your time off is truly yours.
Key Details:
- 4.5-day working week
- 1 in 8 weekend rota (with time off in lieu)
- Up to 20-minute consults
- 5 weeks holiday + bank holidays

Who We're Looking For:
You'll ideally have 1+ years' experience, including surgical skills, and a friendly, caring approach. A shared passion for animal welfare and high clinical standards is essential.
