Veterinary Internship - Rotating

Vets Now Referrals Manchester is a leading referral hospital providing high-quality small animal care, including Emergency and Critical Care. Our hospital offers a structured Small Animal Rotating Internship for veterinarians seeking hands on experience, mentorship, and professional development in a multi-disciplinary environment.

Role Overview

We are excited to be taking applications for this 12-month internship starting on 5th April 2027. It is suitable for recent graduates or veterinary surgeons with general practice experience. Interns rotate through Internal Medicine/Cardiology, Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care, with the option to choose additional elective rotations.

The programme provides a strong foundation for further discipline specific training or for building confidence in clinical case management across a diverse caseload.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively engage in all rotations, working closely with senior clinicians and specialists
• Conduct examinations, support diagnoses, and develop treatment plans under expert supervision
• Assist in surgeries, procedures, and emergency cases, gaining hands on experience across multiple disciplines
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive, compassionate patient care
• Participate in seminars, journal clubs, workshops, and research opportunities to support continuous professional development

Requirements

• A veterinary degree recognised by the RCVS
• RCVS registration (or eligibility to register)
• Eligibility to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available for overseas applicants)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and collaborate effectively with team members
• A proactive and adaptable approach to learning

• Salary: £32,000 per annum
