An outstanding franchised dealership network in Burton-on-Trent is growing its aftersales team and searching for an energetic Vehicle Technician. Working out of a high-spec facility representing a major global manufacturer, this workshop deals with everything from standard maintenance routines to advanced powertrain overhauls. They offer continuous academy progression, top-tier diagnostic tooling, and top-bracket earning potential.

What's Included in the Package?
  • Salary Range: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum basic (DOE) + uncapped monthly efficiency bonus (Holding an active MOT Tester licence is a strong advantage and commands a higher initial salary band!)
  • Working Schedule: Monday to Friday schedule (alongside Saturdays on a balanced rota)

Core Responsibilities
  • Tackle major mechanical projects, including engine rebuilds, gearbox replacements, timing chains, and clutch assemblies
  • Utilize brand diagnostic platforms to pinpoint complex mechanical, software, and electrical faults
  • Complete scheduled servicing, warranty repairs, and multi-point vehicle health checks (VHC) to strict brand standards
  • Work closely with service advisors to ensure transparent repair write-ups and clear updates for customers
  • Maintain superior bay cleanliness, tool care, and strict compliance with health & safety procedures
Candidate Profile
  • Technical Mastery: Confident carrying out heavy mechanical repairs alongside complex diagnostic fault isolation
  • Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ / IMI in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent time-served background)
  • MOT Status: Active MOT Tester accreditation is desirable for a premium starting rate, but not essential
  • Mindset: Quality-driven problem solver committed to accurate, right-first-time repairs
  • Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence
