Job Description

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role for a Level 3 qualified Technician to join a busy and successful dealership in Gatwick, carrying out servicing, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs. Excellent basic salary, uncapped bonus potential, manufacturer training and Hybrid & Electric Vehicle accreditation available.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.

Salary: £39,232 basic per annum plus uncapped bonus
Job type: Permanent / full-time role
Working hours: Monday - Friday,8.30am - 5.30pm, Saturdays on a rota

Vehicle Technician Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent IMI / City & Guilds qualification.
  • Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Service Technician.
  • Strong experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
  • Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
  • MOT Tester Licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
Vehicle Technician Job role
  • Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete warranty repairs and routine maintenance work.
  • Conduct comprehensive electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs).
  • Identify and accurately report additional repair requirements.
  • Complete digital job cards, technical write-ups and repair documentation accurately.
  • Ensure all work is completed efficiently while maintaining excellent quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider workshop team to maximise productivity and first-time fix rates.
  • Maintain excellent workshop Health & Safety and manufacturer standards.
