Vehicle Technician

Location - Maidstone

Salary - £34,665 Basic + Bonus, OTE £40,000+

Working Hours - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week - No Weekends

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Service Technician to join a busy and successful main dealership in the Maidstone area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Vehicle Technician looking for an excellent work-life balance, with Monday-to-Friday working and no weekend rota. The successful Service Technician will be joining a modern, well-equipped workshop with excellent manufacturer training and development opportunities. You will carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, warranty work and mechanical repairs while having access to ongoing manufacturer accreditation, including Electric and Hybrid vehicle training.

Service Technician Role
  • Carry out servicing and routine maintenance on customer vehicles.
  • Complete mechanical repairs to a high standard.
  • Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Carry out warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Complete electronic Vehicle Health Checks (eVHCs).
  • Carry out a variety of maintenance and repair work, ranging from routine oil changes through to cambelt replacements.
  • Complete digital job cards and technical write-ups accurately.
  • Work closely with the wider workshop and Aftersales team.
  • Ensure all work meets manufacturer, safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain strong levels of productivity while delivering quality workmanship.
Service Technician Requirements
  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair - IMI, City & Guilds or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Mechanic.
  • Experience carrying out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs.
  • Previous warranty experience would be advantageous.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • MOT Tester Licence would be advantageous but is not essential, as training can be provided.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to undertake further manufacturer training and development.
