Job Description

Our client, a reputable independent family-run automotive service centre with over 40 years of operation in the Trowbridge region, is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their dedicated team.   • Salary of £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience, with potential for salary increases based on service length and performance

Duties as a Vehicle Technician:
  • Conduct fault diagnosis, vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard
  • Accurately diagnose faults and report findings to the Garage Manager regarding vehicle safety and performance
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and work quality procedures
  • Carry out repairs including clutch replacements, cambelt changes, and other major repairs as necessary
  • Maintain high levels of workmanship and efficiency in a busy workshop environment
  • Support ongoing training to enhance technical skills and certifications, including MOT testing when applicable
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet service targets and ensure customer satisfaction
The ideal Vehicle Technician will have:
  • Relevant IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is preferred but not essential; strong proven experience will also be considered
  • Demonstrable experience in fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs, including larger repairs such as clutches and cambelts
  • Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Motivated, reliable, and able to produce high quality work consistently
  • Excellent team player with a positive attitude and a commitment to health and safety standards
  • A valid class 4 MOT testing licence would be an advantage; training can be provided if needed
