Role Purpose: The VBU Digital Platforms Owner is accountable for maximising the commercial value, customer experience and operational integrity of our Vodafone Business digital selling and self serve platforms, primarily 'Marketplace' and embedded digital channels. The role owns the end to end business outcomes of these platforms - translating strategy into a prioritised roadmap, aligning local and Group delivery, and ensuring the platforms are appropriately operational, supportable, secure and scalable for use by Vodafone Business customers. The role acts as the single business owner for Marketplace, while ensuring the wider platform ecosystem supports portfolio growth and Long-Range Plan (LRP) delivery. The role serves as the primary VBU interface into the Digital Value Stream and Vodafone Group, ensuring delivery aligns to commercial priorities and risks are escalated effectively. Essence of Role - Key Accountabilities: Digital Platform Strategy Ownership (Marketplace-Led): Own the digital platform strategy and long-term vision for VBU, with Marketplace as the anchor platform Define how our digital platforms will evolve into commercial growth channels across acquisition, in-life and renewal Act as the single business owner for Marketplace outcomes within the OpCo Ensure our digital platform strategy aligns to our Product Portfolio priorities and Commercial growth strategy/LRP commitmentsPlatform Roadmap, Backlog & Prioritisation: Own the end-to-end Marketplace backlog, roadmap and demand funnel Approve / reject demand based on commercial value, customer impact, revenue protection and risk Ensure backlog prioritisation directly supports our portfolio growth drivers and LRP delivery commitments Provide governance and alignment across wider platform roadmaps (VBOL, VBRO, CyberHub/VBSOC)Product, Portfolio & Partner Enablement: Act as the gatekeeper for product and partner onboarding onto Marketplace Ensure onboarding aligns to: Strategic portfolio priorities LRP growth areas Ensure: Products are operationally viable Customer journeys are complete Lifecycle (sell bill renew) is fully supportedCustomer Journey & Conversion Ownership: Own the end-to-end Marketplace customer journey Drive improvements in conversion, adoption and customer experienceDigital Value Stream & Group Interface (VBU Representation) Change, Adoption & Platform-Led Selling Data, Insights & Performance Management Skills and Experience required: This role requires a leader who can define and own a digital platform strategy end-to-end. It is about setting clear direction - aligning platform roadmaps to LRP priorities, driving investment decisions based on commercial outcomes, and ensuring delivery translates into measurable impact across revenue, customer experience and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will need the ability to operate at the centre of a complex, matrixed environment - shaping priorities across Group and OpCo, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring platform evolution remains tightly aligned to business goals rather than technical delivery for its own sake. Significant experience of leading teams to deliver customer experience journeys on digital platforms is a must. Strong candidates will bring a track record of building and scaling digital platform strategies that unlock growth, embed platform-led selling, and simplify the customer journey, while maintaining accountability for both commercial performance and operational integrity.
