Job title: Community Activities Guide & Project Support Worker

Role summary:

The Guide brings together information about local clubs and organisations to help people find something they enjoy and get involved in their local community, supporting health and wellbeing and reducing loneliness and social isolation. With the support of the Project Lead in Headington Action, the role of the project worker is to manage the day to day running of the Guide liaising with local providers and clubs and with social prescribers

Job location (usual place of work): Home working or meetings in OX3

Pay Rate: 3-4 hours a week @ £20ph

Hours: Part time - 3-4 hours a week

Contract is: Fixed term

Key responsibilitieswill include maintaining and developing the online Guide; managing the underlying activity information and records; carrying out periodic content-validation exercises with activity providers; identifying new activities and gaps in coverage; and coordinating updates for periodic printed editions.

The postholder will develop and use efficient processes for collecting, checking and publishing information so that the Guide can be maintained effectively within the hours available, while recognising that responsive and friendly correspondence with local activity providers is an important part of this community-facing role.
