Full Time (PIP and WCA) and Part Time (WCA Only). Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. No weekends, nights, bank holidays, or long shifts. Competitive salary plus bonus.

Role Overview

Disability Assessor (PIP / WCA) - Hybrid (home & office).

What You'll Do

• Conduct structured assessments (telephone and face to face).
• Review medical evidence and daily living impact.
• Produce detailed reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
• Make objective recommendations based on evidence.
• Assessment focused role - no prescribing, no treatment plans, no shift pressures.

Hours & Work Pattern

• Full time (WCA/PIP): Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.
• Part time (WCA only): 0.6 FTE (3 days) or 0.8 FTE (4 days); part time must work Friday and can choose remaining days.

Salary & Bonus

• PIP Assessor - £40,000 + 5% salary bonus when training passed (up to 10% performance bonus per year) - 3 assessments per day.
• WCA Assessor - £42,000 + 5% salary bonus when training passed (up to 10% performance bonus per year) - 5-6 shorter assessments per day.
• Candidates may be open to either role depending on local availability.

Training

• 12 week paid training covering assessment techniques, DWP guidelines, report writing, and full support before independent work.

• Registered Adult Nurses (NMC).
• Occupational Therapists (HCPC).
• Physiotherapists (HCPC).
• Paramedics (HCPC) - PIP only.
• Pharmacists (GPhC) - PIP only.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year post registration experience in an adult setting.
• At least 1 year active registration.
• Strong communication and report writing skills.
• Confident IT and typing skills.
• Sponsorship is not available.
